Who We Are
Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
The calling of Oasis is to bring revival at all cost and bring unity to the Kingdom of God in Fulton County, the state of Ohio, and the nations.
Truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing and even greater things than these.
The Vision of Oasis Christian Fellowship was birthed in the heart of Robert “Louie” and Robyn Weber in 1987 while he was a communication and preaching professor at Kentucky Christian University. Louie had grown disgruntled with the American Church’s legalism and closed nature to the voice of God and lack of openness to the Holy Spirit.
Louie and Robyn met Vic Cales at KCU who had gotten saved and was called to the ministry while attending and playing football at Bowling Green State University. Vic also met and married his wife Shelly all while at Kentucky Christian University. Louie and his best friend, Vic, would meet in his office and daydream about a church with a Revival Culture. Vic and Shelly moved from Kentucky and took their first ministry to Ohio and then 7 years in Texas.
During those years God continued to burn the vision for a church in Louie’s heart. He began to travel and preach extensively across the United States and preach at churches and conferences. In 1989 a young man named Joel Seymour enrolled at KCU and he began to burn for a church with worship, more grace, love for the lost and the presence of God. Joel also married his wife Kristy while at KCU.
While Louie and Joel were yearning for more of the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, Louie began reading “Surprised By The Power Of The Holy Spirit” by Jack Deere. Louie and Joel then enrolled in Peter Wagner’s class at Fuller Theological- Miracles, Signs, and Wonders and World Missions. While attending the class, Louie received a meeting personally with John Wimber, who is the Father of the Vineyard movement. During the class Louie and Joel received an impartation from the Holy Spirit and people began to get healed when they prayed.
Louie and Robyn knew God was calling the to plant a church and leave Kentucky. Joel and Kristy also knew they had been called to start this church. Vic and Shelly in Dallas at the same time knew God was calling them to leave Dallas to start this church. Louie had discussed with Vic and Joel, the possibility of it being in Dallas, but Louie and Robyn had the Lord speak to them that they were to go to Louie’s hometown and plant this church in Wauseon, Ohio.
In 1994 Louie, Robyn, Joel, and Kristy all moved to Wauseon and planted Oasis Christian Fellowship. In 1995, Vic and Shelly moved from Dallas and joined the team. Louie was the Senior leader, Joel was the Worship Pastor, and Vic was the Outreach and Youth Pastor. Louie lead the church through the years into a Revival Culture of growing theology. He took the revelation of the restoration movement that started with Barton W Stone and the Cane Ridge Revival, the Vineyard Movement of John Wimber, the Word of Faith movement from the teachings of John G Lake and Andrew Wommack, and finally to Bill Johnson of Bethel Redding, California and the Global Legacy Network of Churches.
